Standing on Lake Michigan Shore

I may have come from Boston,
But Lake Michigan is fine.
Standing on the rocky beach,
Imagining life sublime.

The fresh air is different,
Than the salty, Boston shore,
I wish my vacation here,
Would last Poe's forevermore.

Abound with fluffy, white clouds,
The sky is deep, dark blue,
Fresh water waves surround me,
A lake like an ocean too.

Wishing that I could stay here,
I want to enjoy my life
Of living near fresh water,
With my new life free from strife.

Now placed in my perspective,
The simple life enjoyed here.
Good health, good friends, and nature,
Fresh fish, smoked cheese, and great beer.

Alas, I must return home,
My heart wants me to stay here.
I decided to make plans,
To live here instead of there.
